1. Principle

We only process the data strictly necessary to operate FoodScope, in accordance with the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. Account and login

For your account we process your email address or the identifier of your sign-in provider (e.g. Apple or Google) as well as your profile and goal settings. Legal basis: performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3. AI photo analysis

Photos of your meals are sent to an AI service provider to recognise ingredients and nutrients, and are processed for that purpose only. Where this involves a transfer to a third country, it is based on appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive no payment details, only your subscription status. Apple's or Google's privacy policies also apply.

5. Storage location and retention

Your user data is stored in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main (EU). We keep it as long as your account exists; after account deletion it is removed unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. This website

This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics services. When you visit, technically necessary server log data (e.g. IP address, time) is briefly processed (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Contact us at office@soltory.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
