Common questions about macro tracking
01What is a macro tracker?
A macro tracker records the three macronutrients protein, carbohydrates and fat alongside calories. FoodScope calculates them automatically from a photo, a barcode or a short description of your meal.
02How accurate are macros from a photo?
FoodScope shows every detected ingredient with its estimated amount, so you see what the values are based on. When unsure, the app asks follow-up questions, and every amount can be corrected. Packaged products scanned by barcode use the manufacturer's data.
03Can I track my protein goal with FoodScope?
Yes. The daily overview shows how much protein, carbs and fat you have eaten so far, so you instantly see whether you are reaching your protein goal.
04Do I have to weigh my food?
No. The portion is estimated from the photo. If you want more precision, you can adjust the grams of every ingredient afterwards.
05How much does FoodScope cost as a macro tracker?
Logging is free. You get Premium free for the first 7 days, then you continue with FoodScope Free and 3 photo scans per day – no automatic subscription and no payment details.
